The webinar is interactive and instructors can present in real time, ask questions and confirm stages through polling. In addition students can ask questions during the lesson by text or by verbal questions at the end of lessons. If a lesson missed or needs review the webinar can be played back. TC prefers that ground school material is delivered in a classroom setting. This is the virtual classroom allowing immediate feedback and questioning technique by instructor without sitting in a classroom.
David Donaldson, SAC safety officer, is heading the development of the ground school with Great Lakes Gliding and has industry experience using webinar tools. Looking forward from student and instructor feedback as this tool is being developed.
